Toyota Yaris - Video tutorial

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp90 - Years 2005-2011
Part: Transmission
Operation: How to change the transmission oil on a Toyota Yaris Verso '05.

In this video, we see how to change the transmission oil of the Yaris Verso 05. We need to position ourselves under the engine, where the drain plug is located. But first, we need to get the appropriate oil (the one suggested by the YouTuber is Bardahal 89 W90, which you can also find on Amazon for 21.65 euros, including delivery, with the code B00CHL85G6). We locate the area that concerns the transmission, using the instructions provided in the video, then we place a basin to collect the used oil (which we will dispose of properly at an authorized collection center). After all the oil has drained, we put the plug back in and insert the rubber tube until it reaches the hole of the plug, then we insert the funnel into the rubber tube and start pouring. When we have poured all the oil, we need to be quick to put the plug back in, or the oil will start to leak out.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
