Where is the Auxiliary Battery Located on a Toyota Rav4?

In this video, we will see where the auxiliary battery of the Toyota Rav4 is located and how to jump-start it in case of an emergency. Under the bonnet, this vehicle is somewhat different from most others. Here, you will not find the 12-volt starter battery, which is located in the boot next to the spare wheel. If the vehicle does not start, you can jump-start it using auxiliary cables with the help of a second vehicle. Here’s how. Open the fuse box at the front of the bonnet, lift the cover of the red emergency starter terminal, and connect the positive red jump lead to this terminal. Now connect the auxiliary cables to the second vehicle, placing the red cable on the positive terminal and the black cable on the negative terminal. On the Rav4, the black cable must be connected to a solid, fixed, unpainted metal point, away from the emergency starter terminal. Start the second vehicle, increasing the revs and maintaining this level for five minutes to charge the Rav4's auxiliary battery. Then, with your foot on the brake, press the Rav4's button to start it; once it is running, you can remove the cables in the reverse order of connection. Remember to have the vehicle checked at an authorised workshop.
