Replacement and Maintenance of the Valve

Model: Toyota Rav 4 MK 3, Xa30 - Years 2006-2013

Remove the engine cover by unscrewing the 2 bolts. Now, at the top left, you can see the PCV valve and remove it by moving the clip and disconnecting the hose from the valve. Using a 22mm socket, unscrew the bolt that allows you to extract the valve. Clean the valve and test if it allows air to flow in both directions; air should enter from the threaded side and exit from the side with the hose. If not, you will need to replace the valve. If there are no issues, you can clean it with a specific cleaner and reposition it correctly.
