What Does a Tyre Sensor Fault Mean?

In this video, you will see what it means if the instrument cluster indicates a fault with the tyre sensor: all tyres have a sensor inside that reports the tyre pressure to the onboard computer; if the pressure is low or if there is a problem with the sensor, you will receive an error message on the display.

The first thing to do is check the tyre pressure and restore it if it has dropped.

Reference values can be found on the label located on the driver's door frame; if necessary, add some air and possibly drive a short distance to allow the TPMS to reset. If the warning light does not turn off, some vehicles have a TPMS reset button; otherwise, check your owner's manual to see if there is a blown fuse.

If everything is fine, then it is likely that the TPMS sensor needs to be replaced, and this is a job we recommend having done by a qualified tyre specialist.
