How do you check an ABS sensor

In this video we can see one of the systems for testing ABS sensors: using a multimeter we measure the resistance, connecting the probes to the two sensor pins. The expected values are between 1,000 and 2500 Ohms. If the resistance is infinite (open circuit) or zero (short circuit), the sensor needs to be replaced; if it is significantly different from the other sensors, it is still a sign of malfunction. We measure the AC voltage, setting the multimeter to AC Volts, on the lowest scale; reconnect the sensor and connect the probes to its terminals, then manually rotate the wheel: the multimeter should measure a small alternating voltage (0.1-2.0 V); the faster it spins, the higher the voltage rises: if it does not generate voltage then it means it is faulty.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
