How to reset the parking brake

Today we will explain how to perform the electronic parking brake reset process on a four-wheel vehicle. To perform the parking brake check, we must press the "P" button, located on the central dashboard. By holding down the button for about 15 seconds, we will start the electronic control process. Please note that depending on the vehicle model, you may see all the dashboard lights flashing, but once the lights have stopped flashing, you can release the button or control switch to check that the reset has been done correctly. To check that the reset has been done correctly, start the engine and engage a gear or reverse, press the handbrake release button. If the brake works correctly, you will notice a change in the vehicle, if not, it is necessary to go to the workshop for a diagnostic check. To prevent brake malfunctions, it is important to perform periodic checks at the workshop and make sure to install updates released by the manufacturer.
