If you need to test a relay in your car without a multimeter, a YouTuber demonstrates a simple and practical method that allows you to check if the relay is functioning correctly. First, we know that a relay is fundamentally a switch controlled by an electromagnetic circuit. There are two pairs of pins: one for the coil and one for the switch. When you apply 12V to the coil, a magnetic field is generated that closes the switch, allowing current to flow. Take a 12V battery (for example, from the car) and a light bulb with the necessary wires. Connect the relay coil (pins 85 and 86) to the battery terminals. There is no polarity, so you can connect the wires in any way. Connect a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to pin 30 of the relay. Connect another wire from pin 87 of the relay to one end of the light bulb; connect the other end of the light bulb to the negative terminal of the battery (ground). At this point, power the coil: if the relay is good, you will hear a click and simultaneously the light bulb will illuminate.
