This guide shows how to check and top up the engine oil. The first step is to stop and secure the car on a flat surface. At this point, wait a few minutes for the oil to drain from the engine.

For this operation, you need to obtain the same type of oil already present in the engine. Open the bonnet and secure it, then locate the dipstick: some cars have the traditional dipstick while others have it included in the oil filler cap. Check the oil level by cleaning the dipstick and reinserting it into its housing.

Unscrew the oil filler cap and, using a funnel to avoid spills, top up small amounts of oil and recheck the level until the correct amount is reached.
