Cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor

In this video, you will learn how to clean the mass air flow sensor. First, open the engine bay and locate the mass air flow sensor, usually found next to the engine block. If possible, disconnect the battery terminals; otherwise, if equipped with a black box, disconnect its sensor. Use a Torx screwdriver of about 23/25 and remove the securing screw of the mass air flow sensor. Once removed, pull the sensor outwards. Handle it carefully as it is very delicate. Obtain some WD-40 spray and spray it from about 15/20 cm away, allowing it to dry for about ten minutes before reassembling everything.
