To replace the oil pump on a 2.0 TDi engine, lift the vehicle to access the bolts securing the oil sump at the bottom of the engine. Once removed, you can locate the side cover of the engine block. This cover must be detached to access the oil pump. By loosening the bolts that secure it to its housing, you can remove the old pump and install the new one. After installation, refit all previously removed components.
