How to Clean the EGR Valve on a PSA Engine

To perform this necessary operation, you will need: an 8mm spanner, a cleaning product (the YouTuber recommends Wynni's EGR 3, which costs £19.99 on Amazon, including delivery), and a tube for the job. At the intake manifold, remove the air temperature sensor. Connect the tube that will transmit the contents of the canister. The YouTuber used heat-shrink material at the connection, but insulating tape will also suffice. It is important to have something that provides thickness. The tube is long enough to manoeuvre the canister comfortably from the cabin, also for safety reasons! Start the engine, remove the sprayer from the canister, and connect the other end of the tube. Keep the engine at least at 1,500 RPM and press, spraying the canister at intervals while accelerating. Don’t worry if you hear the engine stalling; that is normal. Continue until the canister is empty. Leave the engine running, remove the tube, and reattach the sensor. Drive a few miles without exceeding 2,000 RPM. This way, the EGR valve will have been cleaned.
