How to Determine the Side of the Fuel Filler Cap

It often happens that when driving a vehicle for the first time, perhaps rented or borrowed from a friend, you may not know which side to position yourself for refuelling. You might be tempted to get out of the vehicle to check which side of the bodywork has the fuel filler cap. In reality, just look carefully at the fuel gauge on the dashboard: the side where the fuel pump symbol is shown indicates the side of the vehicle where the cap is located. Another way is to insert an arrow on the side of the symbol of the fuel pump.
