In this tutorial, you can see how to remove the tailgate panel on the Volkswagen Golf Variant, an extremely simple and quick operation. First, open the tailgate itself, then locate the small plugs inside the two handles and unclip them.

Next, unscrew the screws you just freed using a Torx T20 key, lever along the perimeter of the panel with a plastic spatula to avoid leaving any marks, and separate it from the tailgate. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
