In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the tailgate panel on a Volkswagen Golf, a straightforward and quick task, for example, if you need to replace the lock. First, open the tailgate, then locate the four indicated screws and unscrew them using a Torx T25 key. Next, grasp the panel at one of the two ends, pull down firmly, and separate it from the tailgate.

Be careful not to damage the various retaining clips. Finally, unclip the covers along the edges of the rear window.
