To reset the infotainment system of the Volkswagen Golf, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot: once the cluster is on, you can select the "Setup" option on the display in the centre of the dashboard.

Scroll down in the appearing screen to select "Factory settings" and then "Restore factory settings": this will reset the infotainment settings to their original state.

At the end of the procedure, you can turn off the ignition.
