To disable Lane Assist on the Volkswagen Tiguan, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the ignition barrel. Once the instrument cluster is on, select the "Settings" option located at the bottom right of the screen.

Then select "Driver assistance" and scroll down to find "Lane Assist": under this heading, you will see the word "Active" with a tick. Touching it will remove the tick, thereby disabling this driving assistance feature.
