To remove the clutch cylinder on the Volkswagen Golf, detach the panel located at the rear of the pedal assembly. Once this panel is removed, you can locate the screws that secure the cylinder from the inside.

Then, open the bonnet and unscrew the bolts that secure the cylinder from the inside of the engine bay. This will allow you to completely remove it and insert the new replacement part. After the replacement, check that everything functions correctly.
