Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket located in the Volkswagen Golf?

If the cigarette lighter socket of our Volkswagen Golf has suddenly stopped working, we can first of all check the condition of the corresponding fuse, whose position is indicated in this video. As shown, the fuse in question is located in the box inside the passenger compartment, behind the left side partition of the dashboard on the driver's side. It is a 20A fuse and is the second one in the right row, looking at the box from the front. If it is faulty, make sure to use a replacement with equivalent specifications and to operate with the vehicle turned off, so as not to cause any damage.
