To reset the "Service" light on a Volkswagen Jetta, turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Using the buttons on the steering wheel, access the onboard computer menu and look for the maintenance section.

Once located, select the option to reset the service reminder. You may be asked to confirm the operation by holding down a button for a few seconds, allowing the system to complete the reset.
