Today we will discover the main information on how to disassemble and replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T. First, we open the car's engine hood and start by disassembling and removing the serpentine belt and the coolant reservoir, disconnecting the pipes; then we lift the car and remove the crankshaft pulley, removing the timing cover, as shown in the video. At this point, we take the necessary references for the replacement of the belt, installing the original one; we replace the water pump kit if necessary and reassemble all the other components.
