Replacing the Cabin Fan Resistor on a VW Polo 9N

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

If the cabin fan does not activate or remains stuck at one speed, the resistor that controls the speed is likely damaged. This resistor is located on the air duct behind the centre console. To access it, remove the glove compartment from the passenger side. Once removed, you will see a circular cover with a four-wire connector (red, green, black, blue) that powers the resistor. Simply disconnect the cover and replace the resistor, then reverse the steps for reassembly.
