How to replace the diesel filter on Volkswagen Golf 5? Follow these steps: open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the securing bolts on the container (disconnect the cables and various hoses from the filter) where the diesel filter is located. Remove the diesel filter and take out the worn filter. Replace the damaged filter with a new one, ensuring it fits well in the filter holder. Finally, reassemble the diesel filter container (connect the hoses and cables) and tighten the screws. Close the front bonnet.
