How to Remove and Replace the Diesel Filter on Volkswagen Golf 6

Learn how to remove and replace the diesel filter on a Volkswagen Golf 6. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the Torx screws securing the diesel filter (disconnect the cables and various hoses from the filter). Remove the diesel filter holder, take out the worn filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring it fits snugly in the holder. Refit the diesel filter container (connect the hoses and cables) and tighten the screws. Close the front bonnet after maintenance.
