Replacing the Fuel Filter on Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Is the fuel filter due for replacement? Lift the bonnet and check where the fuel filter is located. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Remove the soundproofing panel of the engine to access the fuel filter. Unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the fuel filter is located, and remove it from its housing. Fit the new fuel filter after cleaning the entire base where the part will be screwed in. Start the engine to fill the fuel filter.
