How to reset the "Service" light on a Volkswagen Tiguan?

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan BW, MK 2, AD - Years 2016-2025
Part: Service warning light

To reset the "Service" light on a Volkswagen Tiguan, start by turning on the instrument panel without starting the engine. Locate the button located under the instrument panel, usually near the clock adjustment lever or odometer reset button. Press and hold this button for a few seconds. While pressing, the system will enter the maintenance menu. While continuing to hold the button, a specific message will appear on the instrument panel display asking if you want to reset the "Service" light. At this point, release the button and press it again to confirm the reset. The system will perform the procedure, and you will see a notification confirming the maintenance interval reset. The "Service" light should turn off. Once the procedure is completed, turn off and on the instrument panel to verify that the light is no longer present. If the light remains on, repeat the procedure carefully to ensure that everything has been done correctly.

How to Adjust the Handbrake on a BMW 1 Series?

To adjust the handbrake on a BMW 1 Series, use a tool to pry off the leather cover that wraps around the base of the handbrake lever. Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension. At this point, adjust the nut located at the base of the spring: tightening the nut will make the handbrake firmer and reduce the lever's travel. Conversely, loosening the nut will decrease the handbrake's firmness and increase the lever's travel.
