Let's see how to mount the metal bumper / cross member (after having it chromed) on a Volkswagen Beetle: we place the gasket in the slots on the car body, then, we insert the (metal) bars of the bumper into the sheet metal. We screw the locking pins into the threads of the frame with a socket wrench (we tighten the pins well). We carry out the same assembly operation of the rear crossbar / bumper (we also tighten the pins with the socket wrench in the car frame). We carefully check the exact assembly of the previously assembled pieces.
