How does the Volkswagen DSG transmission work?

In this video we see how the DSG gearbox of Volkswagen cars works: it is a dual-clutch gearbox, which ensures greater driving comfort, optimizing fuel consumption. The automatic gearbox ensures a more relaxed driving experience, as there is no need to use the clutch. The gear lever has a button on the front, which allows us to switch between different positions of the gearbox: "P" is for parking; "R" is for reverse, and the parking sensors and, where installed, the rear camera are automatically activated. "N" is for neutral, while "D" stands for drive, which is the driving position. By simply pushing the lever down to the right, we enter "S" mode, which is sport mode to simulate a manual gearbox: pushing the lever up will increase the gear, and pushing it down will decrease it.
