How do you reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Tiguan?

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016

The Service indicator that appears on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Tiguan can be reset by turning on the instrument panel, inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch: once the latter has been turned on, you can navigate through the menu using the button on the right lever of the steering wheel, until you find "Settings". By selecting it with the button below the lever, you can proceed by selecting "Service" and then "Reset": this way the Service indicator will turn off completely from the instrument panel, which can in turn be turned off by turning the key back.
