In order to reset the DSG7 gearbox of the Volkswagen Scirocco R, you need to press the ignition button next to the steering column, so that the instrument panel lights up without starting the engine: at this point, you will need to hold down the accelerator pedal for about thirty seconds, until you hear a click. Once you hear this click, you can release the button and turn off the instrument panel; now you can press the button again to turn on the instrument panel and the engine, completing the reset.
