How do you remove the EGR valve on a Volkswagen Golf 4? Lift the bonnet and secure it, then use a screwdriver to unscrew the locking pins of the ventilation pipe and remove the engine soundproofing panel. Begin to unscrew the fastening pins of the EGR valve as shown in the video (if you encounter difficulties, lift the car with a jack and remove the part from underneath). Once the part is removed from its seat, unscrew the screws present on it using a screwdriver. Start cleaning the valve with a suitable cleaning product for mechanical parts, using a brush to assist you. Reassemble everything after cleaning.
