The method for cleaning the EGR valve involves using a can of specific cleaning spray: the Motip EGR Cleaner, which can be found on Amazon with the code B015XMWV6A at the price of £16.48, with free delivery. It must be injected directly into the intake manifold while the engine is running and kept at a constant speed.

Find an area away from populated places (the engine will emit smoke and make a lot of noise). Disconnect the hose that goes to the turbo and insert the straw from the can. Start the engine, which should then remain at 2,000 RPM: inject the contents of the can into the hose at intervals: as you spray, the engine will tend to accelerate on its own; continue until the can is empty.

During the operation, burnt dirt will come out in the form of black smoke. At the end, reconnect the hose and turn off the engine.

In the video, before using the can, they had already dismantled and manually cleaned the throttle body, the ducts, and the EGR valve: the can is used to clean the rest of the circuit (manifold and turbo) where you cannot reach by hand. The video emphasises that it takes courage, as the engine shakes and produces a lot of smoke.

Where to Find the Fuses of the Citroen C3

The fuse box of the Citroen C3 in the engine compartment is located behind the battery near the headlamp; to access the fuses, remove the cover by moving the side tabs. The fuse box in the cabin is situated at the bottom of the dashboard, above the pedals; to access the fuses, simply remove a small cover (where applicable). To replace a fuse, use small pliers to grasp the fuse to be changed and pull it out; if the bridge inside the fuse is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced; otherwise, the fuse is functioning. If the fuse needs to be replaced, use one with the same amperage to avoid malfunctions.
