In this guide, we will see how to disassemble and replace the EGR valve on the Volkswagen Golf 1.6, following the instructions below. First, open the bonnet and start removing the intake duct of the valve; then disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor and use a ratchet spanner to unscrew the securing screws of the EGR valve, as shown in the video. At this point, clean the valve, or opt for replacement if damaged; then reassemble everything, applying the reverse procedure!
