How to remove the hood of a Volkswagen New Beetle? Let's see how to proceed in this video: use a screwdriver to remove the side plastic covers located at the edges of the hood (inner side if present), then unscrew the nuts with a spanner or socket wrench. Once the nuts are removed, move the hood back (as shown in the video), detach the plastic covers of the hood from the upper side of the car. Remove the hood retaining clips located on the frame of the car's opening roof. Finally, remove the hood from the vehicle body and prepare to fit a new one with clips and fasteners included.
