In order to install the roof lining of the Volkswagen New Beetle convertible, you must first lower the roof completely so that the lining can be inserted from one side and then the other. Once the lining has been inserted, the flap of the lining can be inserted from the back. Now, the hooks on the front of the roof, located on the sides of the rear seat headrests, must be secured. After the central cushion has also been put back in place, the roof lining will be fully inserted.

Then keep the accelerator pedal pressed and at the same time press the brake pedal six times consecutively. When finished, keep both pedals pressed and turn on the ignition. Press the brake pedal again six more times and keep both pedals depressed for approximately 50 seconds. Turn off the ignition. Release the brake pedal and hold the accelerator pedal for another 50 seconds to complete the procedure.
