Let's see how to remove the external handle (located in the rear door) of a Volkwagen tiguan (first series). Insert a special metal key in the slot on the door (side plate), remove the handle cover on the right of the door with a plastic lever. We extract the right part of the handle, then, we remove the same from the sheet of the car; let's compare it with the new handle and get ready for assembly. We insert the new handle with lock and cover in the door. Finally we test the correct assembly and operation, manually activating the same.
