Operation: How to disassemble the Golf 4 control panel

How to remove the window control panel located in the (driver's) side panel of a Volkswagen Golf 4 series? This video explains how to proceed. Before starting the disassembly work, let's disconnect the battery terminals in the engine compartment. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the tightening screws located under the door panel push-button panel (if present). Once you have unscrewed all the fastening screws of the push button panel: lever it and extract it out of the door panel. We disconnect the power cables with a screwdriver and replace the push button panel.
