The fuse related to the operation of the control unit (ECU) for the Volkswagen Golf model mk4, produced from 1997 to 2003, is located inside the fuse box situated in the cabin. Specifically, the box is found at the left end of the dashboard; to access the box, we need to detach the panel.

The fuse in question is number F 10, rated at 15 amperes. To replace it, we remove the fuse and insert one with the same amperage.

If the control unit is not functioning, it is necessary to perform a diagnosis using a diagnostic computer.
