This guide will show you how to disassemble and replace the window regulator mechanism on a Volkswagen Golf. First, open the front door of the vehicle and begin removing the door panel; to do this, remove the plastic cover of the grab handle, then unscrew the screws found underneath and on the sides of the panel, as shown in the video. Next, pry the sides of the panel to detach and remove it, disconnecting the electrical connector and the handle cable found at the back; then, disassemble the window regulator mechanism by unscrewing the screws and disconnecting the side window.
