How to Reset the Service Light on Volkswagen Jetta?

From the instrument cluster of the Volkswagen Jetta, you can completely clear the Service light by pressing and holding the 0.0/SET button located on the right side of the instrument cluster: while continuing to hold this button, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to activate the instrument cluster. This way, you will see the Service light start to flash; then release the button and press the one on the left side of the cluster. This will clear the light, and you will be able to deactivate the instrument cluster.
