Operation: How to remove the light switch on the steering wheel of a VW Golf V

The light switch or steering column control unit, if you prefer, is a device that integrates various elements inside it; in addition to the arrow and wiper controls, it also includes the steering wheel angle sensor and the spiral ring through which the signals of the airbag and any steering wheel controls if present on the spokes pass; to be able to disassemble it you can use two approaches: either disassemble the various elements leaving the plastic support connected to the steering column, as shown in the video, or you can lower the front part of the column and with a punch unscrew the two anti-burglary pins that they fix the entire support to the steering column: in both circumstances, the airbag, the steering wheel and the cover shells will have to be removed.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
