How to Replace the Battery in the Key Remote of a Volkswagen Polo

Follow this guide to replace the battery in the key remote of a Volkswagen Polo. Take your remote and press the key release button on the metal key. Once the metal key pops out, use a screwdriver to pry between the two covers of the key (in the space where the metal key fits). Pry until the cover opens, then remove the dead battery and replace it with a new one of the same size and voltage. Reattach the cover or replace it with a new one (press on the key case until you hear it click into place). Join the two covers and check that the remote works correctly by pressing the buttons.
