How to Perform a Service on a Volkswagen T-Cross

Today, you will perform a service on a Volkswagen T-Cross. Lift the vehicle on support stands and using a T25 key, unscrew the bolts of the engine protection cover; then, using a 19 mm socket wrench, unscrew the bolt that secures the oil filler cap and allow the oil to drain into a container.

While waiting for the used oil to fill the container, use an oil filter removal tool to replace the oil filter located next to the reservoir. After replacing the filter, close the oil filler cap with the 19 mm key and clean the casing.

Lower the vehicle and pour the necessary amount of oil into the reservoir; you will need 4 litres for the service. After replacing the oil filter and engine oil, proceed to replace the air filter.

Open the front bonnet and remove the protective cover of the filter. Then, perform the replacement.

Check the levels of fluids in the various reservoirs, such as the screen wash fluid. Once all fluids are at the correct level, close the front bonnet and proceed to replace the cabin air filter.

Open the glove compartment on the passenger side and press the upper buttons to detach it, taking care not to damage the support springs. Remove the protective cover of the filter and proceed with the replacement.

At the end of all procedures involving the service, it is necessary to reset the service light. To perform the reset, turn on the instrument panel and press the menu button on the steering wheel.

Select the option related to service settings and choose the reset option to update the mileage for the next service.
