To deactivate the Start/Stop system on the Volkswagen Golf 8, get into the vehicle and turn on the ignition or start the engine. Locate the button with the circled "A" symbol, usually positioned on the central console near the gear lever. Press the button to deactivate the system: an indication will appear on the instrument cluster confirming the deactivation of Start/Stop. The system remains deactivated until the vehicle is turned off. Alternatively, access the infotainment system menu via the central display, go to the vehicle settings, and deactivate the Start/Stop function from the dedicated options. After completing the operation, check the display to ensure the system is indeed deactivated.
