Want to remove the centre console from your Golf? Here’s how to proceed. Unscrew the fastening screws located at the back of the console. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the fastening bolts on the side of the centre console. Using a lever, remove the cover located at the bottom of the centre console, and take off the leather gear knob gaiter. Pull out the console and disconnect any power cables. Insert the new part into the centre console space, reassemble all the components of the glove compartment as you disassembled them earlier; the screws and the gaiter with the knob.
