Do we want to remove the central tunnel of our Golf? Let's see how to proceed. We unscrew the fastening screws in the posterior part of the tunnel. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the locking pins on the side of the central tunnel. With a lever we remove the covering placed in the lower part of the central tunnel, we disassemble the leather gearshift gaiter. We pull away the tunnel, disconnect any power cables. We insert the new piece in the central tunnel compartment, reassemble all the components of the glove compartment as we disassembled previously; the screws and the cap with the knob.
