The diesel filter should be replaced at every service interval for the car. Let's look at the disassembly on a Passat. Lift the front bonnet, locate the diesel filter, and disconnect the battery's fuel connectors. Once all screws are undone, remove the filter housing from the vehicle (disconnect the various circulation pipes). Install the filter inside the filter housing (connect the pipes and cables) and tighten the appropriate screws. Reconnect the battery's fuel connectors and check the vehicle's operation (start the vehicle).
