In case you need to remove the steering wheel to replace, for example, the airbag belt or the steering wheel angle sensor, a very recurring defect on this model, the first thing to remove is certainly the steering wheel airbag; this device is fixed through a spring system, in order to release it, therefore, the springs must be intercepted from the special holes present behind the spokes of the steering wheel: you can help yourself with a mirror or the camera of a smartphone; once the spring has been intercepted, use a flat screwdriver to pry and release it, and then repeat the operation on the other spoke; then move the airbag away to finally release the detonator connector: it is advisable to carry out this step with the battery disconnected.
