Fitting the Fuel Pump on a VW Jetta

Removing the fuel pump from a VW Jetta? Follow these steps to disassemble the pump. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seats of the car. You will find the wiring and a metal piece with screws that need to be removed. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the fastening screws of the metal cap and remove it from its seat. Use a chisel to unscrew the large fastening nut. Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation pipes, then extract the fuel pump assembly. Connect the power connectors to the new pump assembly. Close the access hatch and test the vehicle.
