Remove the Imperial Panel of the Golf 5

Remove the trim plastics beneath the panel to begin. Remove the side handles of the headlining with a screwdriver, then remove the sun visors and the overhead lighting unit positioned in the panel. Once everything is removed, detach the headlining panel around the perimeter of the car's roof. When the panel is free from clips, you can pull it out of the vehicle. Be careful when pulling it out as it may break. Reupholster the headlining panel or replace it with a new one.
