Engine oil and oil filter replacement

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

Lift the vehicle on suitable car ramps to facilitate access to the oil sump, position a container of appropriate capacity under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug (located at the rear of the sump in the central position) using an 18 mm spanner; once the draining is complete, replace the plug and tighten it properly. Next, move on to replacing the oil filter: remove the plastic cover and unscrew the filter (located near the oil dipstick and positioned upside down) using the appropriate tool; then screw in the new one after coating the gasket with oil without exceeding the tightening torque. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
