Replacement of Side Indicator Bulb

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

The side indicator light is simply clipped to the rear bumper: it is sufficient to lever it out sideways with a small screwdriver to remove it along with the bulb holder; at this point, unclip the bulb holder by turning it counterclockwise (bayonet fitting) and proceed with the bulb replacement: before inserting the new one, check the oxidation state of the contacts in the bulb holder and clean them with contact spray if necessary (it may also be effective to slightly tighten the contacts for better adherence to the bulb).
Insert the new bulb and proceed in reverse for reassembly.
